This week U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman met with his counterparts from the other 11 countries participating in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Arequipa, Peru. This was their first meeting since the formal signing of TPP on Feb. 4, offering Froman an opportunity to address concerns about the level of support for TPP in the U.S. Congress.

On May 17, the TPP trade ministers issued this joint statement from Peru.
