A team of Japanese producers visited the USMEF office in Denver Friday to learn about U.S. meat production and the role USMEF plays in exporting red meat.

The team was brought to the U.S. by All in One Inc., a large Japanese feed and livestock distribution company. The objective of their mission is to learn about the U.S. grain market – including how beef and pork production affects demand for U.S. grain.

Mitsubishi Corporation, one of the largest trading companies in Japan, is supporting the All in One team because the company is one of its key customers.

Greg Hanes, assistant vice president for international marketing, provided the team with an overview of current global beef and pork trade, as well as a look at production trends for U.S. beef and pork.
