TITLE:	Support for the Beef Industry Long Range Plan
WHEREAS,	The first core strategy contained in the Beef Industry Long Range Plan (covering the years 2016 through 2020) is to drive growth in U.S. beef exports; and
WHEREAS,	This core strategy includes three strategic initiatives: • Increase market access • Adopt animal I.D. traceability systems • Promote the unique attributes of U.S. beef in foreign markets; and
WHEREAS,	The Beef Industry Long Range Plan also includes the following goal: By 2020, grow the value of U.S. beef exports as a percent of total beef value to at least 16 percent; and
WHEREAS,	Achieving the goals and objectives contained in the Beef Industry Long Range Plan will require support and cooperation from many industry organizations and stakeholders, including USMEF.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,	That USMEF supports the Beef Industry Long Range Plan and will work with industry partners to achieve export growth through the strategic initiatives outlined in the plan.
