The list of eligible suppliers to the USDA bovine export verification (EV) programs has been updated to include six plants eligible to serve Ecuador, which reopened to U.S. beef on March 21.
Earlier this week, USMEF-South America hosted its first beef-related events in Ecuador. Two introductory seminars – one in the capital city of Quito and one in the coastal city of Guayaquil – were held to familiarize Ecuadorean importers with U.S. beef and suppliers. The seminars were conducted with support from the Texas Beef Council.
Exporters with questions about the EV program for Ecuador or other details regarding product eligibility may contact Cheyenne Dixon or call 303-623-6328. For other information on this market, please contact USMEF-South America representative Jessica Julca.
