Published: May 09, 2013
The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) will conduct a media conference call on Monday, May 20, from the USMEF Board of Directors Meeting in Washington, D.C. The conference call will begin at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time and will feature brief comments from USMEF officers and senior staff, including regional directors from foreign office locations. Their comments will be followed by a question-and-answer session, which will conclude by 2:00 p.m.

Participants should call 1-866-519-2804 and enter passcode 770447. If you are calling from an area that cannot access this toll-free number, please dial 1-719-234-7307 and use the same passcode. Please note that this will not be an operator-assisted call, so please mute your phone (*6) until the question-and-answer period begins. When asking a question, please unmute your phone (also *6) and provide the panel with your name and the name of your news outlet.

For those based in the Washington, D.C., area, we encourage you to attend in person. The call will be conducted at the Residence Inn Arlington Capital View, 2850 South Potomac Avenue in Arlington, Va. (hotel front desk is 703-415-1300) in the Potomac 1 Room on the lobby level.

As an added incentive for those attending, a light lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. and you will have an opportunity for one-on-one discussions with the panelists before the call begins. If you plan to attend, an RSVP is appreciated to Joe Schuele (jschuele@usmef.org) or Jim Herlihy (jherlihy@usmef.org).

Reporters are also invited to attend the USMEF Board of Directors Meeting, which is set for May 22-24 at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View (adjacent to the Residence Inn). If you plan to attend, please contact Joe Schuele at the address above or at 303-226-7309 so we can preregister you and comp your registration fee. The full agenda is available online. All meetings listed are generally open to media, but please be advised that committees may occasionally opt for a closed session.
