USMEF Statement on Senate Confirmation of Sec. Vilsack

The U.S. Senate has confirmed Tom Vilsack to serve as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.
U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) President and CEO Dan Halstrom issued this statement:
USMEF congratulates Sec. Vilsack on his confirmation and we look forward to working with him to expand global demand for U.S. red meat.
Sec. Vilsack clearly understands the importance of agricultural exports and the returns they deliver for U.S. farmers and ranchers. He has excellent relationships with key trading partners and will be a very strong voice for U.S. agriculture.
