USMEF Chair-Elect Dean Meyer Updates AgDay on Spring Planting

USMEF Chair-Elect Dean Meyer, a corn, soybean and livestock producer from Rock Rapids, Iowa, was one of the farmers interviewed for AgDay's series of spring planting progress reports. Meyer reports that while rain has slowed planting in northwest Iowa, subsoil moisture is at a much higher level than a year ago. He adds that soil conditions and the robust market for corn led his family to plant more corn acres than originally planned.
