Strong Turnout for Red Meat Industry at Major Food Show in Vietnam

Published: Feb 25, 2023

Following a two-year absence, more than 300 exhibitors from 28 countries welcomed 16,000 visitors at the three-day Food and Hotel Vietnam show in Ho Chi Minh City.

The U.S. red meat industry was well-represented as seven U.S. suppliers participated at the USMEF booth. USMEF sponsored and supplied product for three sessions of the Vietnam Culinary Challenge: U.S. beef striploin and brisket bones and U.S. pork spareribs.

The U.S. Embassy’s Consul General Susan Burns was the U.S. Pavilion’s guest of honor and Senior Agricultural Attaché Benjamin Petlock conducted the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the pavilion on the first day of the show.

Funding for USMEF’s participation was provided by the Beef Checkoff Program, the National Pork Board and USDA’s Market Access Program and Agricultural Trade Promotion Program.
