Record-High Pork Variety Meat Exports Highlighted in National Hog Farmer

In a guest column for National Hog Farmer magazine, USMEF details last year's record performance for U.S. pork variety meat exports. 2022 exports topped $1.27 billion in value, an annual record, and equated to more than $10 per head slaughtered for the first time.
Export volume was the second largest on record in 2022 at more than 530,000 metric tons, trailing only 2017. Variety meat exports averaged 9.3 pounds per head slaughtered.
