TITLE: | Market Access Expansion for U.S. Red Meat |
WHEREAS, | Technical market access issues continue to be the single most important limiting factor in the growth of U.S. beef, pork, and lamb exports; and |
WHEREAS, | Resolving technical market access issues requires the sustained focus and close collaboration of the U.S. government and the red meat industry; |
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, | That USMEF will work closely with American Meat Institute (AMI), North American Meat Association (NAMA), National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), and Meat and Poultry Industry Trade Policy Council (MPITPC) to implement a coordinated strategy for conveying the industry’s market access priorities to the U.S. government and collaborating closely with USDA and USTR to resolve the industry’s priority market access issues as expeditiously as possible. |
