Roasted BBQ Pork Butt

  1. 1 whole pork shoulder “Boston” butt
  2. 2 ½ TBSP Paprika
  3. 2 TBSP Salt
  4. 2 TBSP Garlic Powder
  5. 2 TBSP Black pepper
  6. 1 TBSP onion Powder
  7. 1 TBSP Cayenne Powder
  8. 1 TBSP Dried Oregano
  9. 1 TBSP Thyme
  10. 1 TBSP Basil

Mix dry ingredients and rub pork butt generously. Place pork on a roasting rack in a pan, fat side up, cover with foil, and bake in oven at 350° F. for around 2-3 hours, remove the foil and bake for another 1-1 ½ hours until the pork is tender.

When done, either slice and serve as “roast pork” style or shred into “pulled” pork which is great with BBQ sauce or a chutney in sandwiches or in tortillas.
