4-8-19 – Second Group of Countries Effective May 20, 2019: FSIS has recently been conducting a testing phase for 21 additional countries and territories that will soon be added to the Public Health Information System (PHIS) Export Module. Vietnam is the most active export destination among this group of countries and territories, which also includes: Angola, Antarctica, Aruba, Bhutan, Botswana, Bouvett Island, Brunei Darussalam, Christmas Island, Comoros, Eritrea, Falkland Islands, Faroe Islands, French Southern and Antarctic Islands, Greenland, Guernsey, Heard Island and McDonald Islands, Isle of Man, Jersey, Lesotho and Liechtenstein. (NOTE: With regard to Vietnam, the letterhead requirements are as of November 2018.)
In a notice issued April 8, 2019, FSIS announced that this group will be added to the PHIS Export Module on May 20, 2019.

6-25-18 – Implementation reminders: In this Constituent Update (see page 3), FSIS provided reminders related to the June 29, 2018 implementation of the PHIS automated export component.
Countries in the first phase were Afghanistan, Andorra, Bahamas, Bolivia, Burundi, Cape Verde, Cook Islands, Ethiopia, French Guiana, Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Mozambique, San Marino, Tanzania, and Uganda. Export applications entered through PHIS were processed starting at 12:01 a.m. ET on June 29, 2018.
TESTING TO END APRIL 30, 2018: FSIS has announced that testing of the automated export functionality in the Public Health Information System (PHIS) will conclude at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Monday, April 30, 2018. At that time, the test environment companies have been utilizing during the testing phase will no longer be available.
