Certification Changes for Closed-faced Sandwiches Destined for Canada Now in Effect

Last month we reported that effective Feb. 13, FSIS would no longer sign export certificates for closed-face sandwiches to Canada unless the processing facility applies for voluntary FSIS inspection of the applicable products and implements the AMS Export Verification Program for Microbiological Testing of Ready-To-Eat Products Destined for Canada. Because these changes take effect today, they are now reflected in the Export Library for Canada.
