USTR Releases National Trade Estimate Report

On March 31, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) released its 2016 National Trade Estimate Report, which spotlights trade barriers imposed on U.S. exports by other countries and provides an update on USTR’s efforts to reduce these barriers. The report also explains the potential market access improvements included in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and highlights trade agreements recently launched by key competitors, including the Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement and the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement.

More details from the National Trade Estimate Report are included in this USTR news release. The release contains several industry-specific factsheets, including an update on sanitary and phytosanitary barriers faced by U.S. agricultural products.
