TPP Ministers Conclude Talks in Beijing

Trade ministers involved in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations met Nov. 8-10 on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Beijing. Leaders of the 12 participating countries struck an optimistic tone in their joint statement:

“With the end coming into focus, we have instructed our Ministers and negotiators to make concluding this agreement a top priority so that our businesses, workers, farmers and consumers can start to reap the real and substantial benefits of the TPP agreement as soon as possible.”

A separate “Trade Ministers’ Report to Leaders” provides an update on key issues being negotiated under TPP. It is also available online.
