TPP Ministerial Meeting Extended

The ministerial-level Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations that were scheduled to end Oct. 1 have been extended into the weekend. This is an encouraging sign that a major announcement could still emerge from the Atlanta meetings, but significant progress is reportedly still needed on several key issues, with dairy market access, automobile assembly requirements and intellectual property protection for biologic drugs topping the list. USMEF will report any further developments as more information becomes available.
