On the Nov. 19 edition of NCBA’s Cattlemen to Cattlemen, USMEF President and CEO Philip Seng discusses the latest U.S. beef export results, including this year’s strong growth in shipments to Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He also highlights the recent improvement in market conditions in Mexico and South Korea.

The segment also features a discussion of the dramatic surge in China’s beef imports over the past year. Because U.S. beef has not had access to China since 2003, its imports are primarily from Australia, Uruguay, New Zealand and Canada. Seng also updates producers on efforts to reopen the Russian market, which has been closed to U.S. beef since February.

The program will air Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time on RFD-TV, which is available on DirecTV (channel 345), DISH Network (channel 231) and many local cable systems. Episodes repeat on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. (NOTE: all times Eastern). Beginning Nov. 19, the program will also be available online at www.cattlementocattlemen.org.
