A USMEF South Korean Pork Business Development team (pictured above) was in Nebraska this week studying the U.S. pork industry on a trip that included a Hormel pork plant and the Spam Museum in Austin, Minn. The team is pictured with Harry Knobbe (sixth from right) of West Point, Neb., and relatives and team members of Harry Knobbe Feedyards.
Knobbe took the four CEOs and one purchasing manager that made up the team on a tour of pork farms and other agricultural operations in Cuming County, Neb., an area well-known for livestock and grain production. His family also cooked a U.S. beef and pork dinner for the team. The group also visited the Smithfield plant in Crete, Neb., the JBS plant in Greeley, Colo., Albert Lea Select Foods in Minnesota and the Cargill plant in Ottumwa, Iowa.
