Export Statistics
USMEF Trade Statistics Overview
USMEF compiles trade statistics from monthly data reported by USDA/FAS and collected by the U.S. Department of Commerce. USMEF includes beef and pork muscle cuts, processed products and variety meat or offals in the trade statistics. Hides and other rendered or inedible products are not included in the data reported by USMEF.

FAS GATS trade statistics standard query system, the "FAS" Product Groups utilized by USMEF include the following, under the Product heading "Livestock & Meats":

Monthly and year-to-date export data are compiled from monthly releases provided by USDA. At the end of the year, USDA revises export data to include shipments that were registered after the end of the month or misclassified at the time of export. These revisions, called 13th month data, are used to calculate the official export statistics. For official export data, please refer to the historical statistics or the U.S. Trade Internet System at
