Media Registration Open for USMEF Strategic Planning Conference, Nov. 1-3

The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) Strategic Planning Conference will be held Nov. 1-3 in Tucson, Arizona. The conference is open to media and the registration fee is waived, so to register please email Joe Schuele, USMEF vice president of communications, or call him at 303-547-0030 with your contact information and the name and address of your news outlet.

The Nov. 1 opening general session will feature a discussion of the current state of play in China, followed by a segment on global consumer attitudes and trends. Thursday’s global economic outlook panel will discuss current market conditions and consider future implications from an international business perspective. Friday’s segment on Brazil will analyze Brazil’s beef and pork production and exports – including the impact of recent market closures and restrictions, Brazil’s meat consumption trends and potential opportunities for U.S. beef.

To open the week, USMEF’s regular press conference/media conference call will be held Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time. Panelists will include USMEF CEO Philip Seng, USMEF President Dan Halstrom and senior staff from USMEF’s international offices.
