The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) Spring Conference will be held May 24-26 in Arlington, Virginia. Featured speakers on Wednesday, May 24, include Stu Rothenberg, founder of the Rothenberg Political Report and well-known as one of the nation’s go-to political analysts. On May 25, guest speakers include Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kansas), chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, and American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall.
Also invited to speak at the conference are U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue and Robert Lighthizer, the nominee to head the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. More details will be available when these speakers are confirmed.
To open the week, USMEF’s regular press conference/media conference call will be held Tuesday, May 23 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time. Panelists will include USMEF President and CEO Philip Seng and senior staff from USMEF’s international offices. Call-in details will be distributed in advance.
