Published: Feb 18, 2016

Gulfood 2016, the premier food exhibition for the Middle East and growing regions of Asia and Africa, will be held Feb. 21-25 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). USMEF’s participation in Gulfood is made possible through support from the Beef Checkoff Program and the USDA Market Access Program (MAP).

Click on the photo on the right to see a video segment in which John Brook, USMEF Regional Director for Europe, Russia and the Middle East, and Dan Halstrom, USMEF Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, provide a preview of Gulfood 2016. They explain how it has developed into one of the world’s largest food trade shows and a critical marketing opportunity for U.S. exporters.

While U.S. beef will be the most popular item featured by USMEF member companies at Gulfood, buyers attending the event also have a growing interest in U.S. lamb. Last year USMEF also conducted the first-ever U.S. pork workshops in the UAE. More details on these workshops were reported in the Dec. 11 Export Newsline.
