USMEF participated in this week’s Commodity Classic in Phoenix, Arizona. Conducted by the National Corn Growers Association, American Soybean Association, National Association of Wheat Growers and National Sorghum Producers, the annual convention and trade show attracts thousands of producers from across the nation.

USMEF Vice-chair Bruce Schmoll, a soybean and corn producer from Claremont, Minnesota, was on hand to greet producers and share information about the importance of red meat exports to the U.S. agricultural economy. He was accompanied by John Hinners, USMEF assistant vice president for industry relations.

"The producers I spoke with were very appreciative of how USMEF is adding value to the oilseed and feedgrain industries by promoting red meat internationally," Schmoll said. "I also spoke with a number of people who have been on USMEF trade visits in international markets, and they could not say enough good things about their experience. Some of them have also hosted USMEF trade teams at their operations, and they recognize the benefits of making a personal connection with international buyers."
