USMEF Chair Leann Saunders speaks with broadcaster Tony St. James of the Texas-based All Ag Radio Network

A full day of radio and television interviews awaited USMEF Chair Leann Saunders Thursday at the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) convention in Kansas City. Journalists participating in NAFB’s annual “Trade Talk” event spoke with Saunders about the value of beef, pork and lamb exports and a variety of key trade issues.

“It was exciting to speak with a broad range of reporters from so many different regions of the country, and see such a high level of interest in U.S. meat exports,” Saunders said. “The really great thing about NAFB Trade Talk is that we’re able to communicate with producers through voices that they listen to each and every day and have trusted for years – often decades – to deliver news that impacts their bottom line.”
