Working to build demand in one of the most promising European markets for U.S. beef, USMEF organized a series of promotional events in three of Germany’s largest cities. Funded by the Beef Checkoff Program, the activities included Barbecue Prime Night in Cologne, the Gourmet Festival in Dusseldorf and the Hamburg Stadtmenue.
“The goal was to remind consumers of the availability of high-quality U.S. beef in Germany and maintain the positive momentum we have built in the market,” said Yuri Barutkin, USMEF representative in Europe. “U.S. beef is already on the menus of many high-end restaurants across the country and is also available in many retail outlets and through online sales. However, there is plenty of opportunity for growth.”
