Nebraska Department of Agriculture Director Greg Ibach and Agricultural Trade Representative Stan Garbacz visited USMEF headquarters on July 21 to discuss upcoming red meat promotions and other activities related to international trade. Ibach was recently appointed to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative’s Intergovernmental Policy Advisory Committee and will serve as president of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) in 2016.

Near-term projects discussed included a Nebraska delegation that will be visiting Japan in September and a U.S. agricultural trade mission to Ghana later in the fall, in which the Nebraska Department of Agriculture will play a prominent role.
