Korea Resumes Imports of Canadian Beef

South Korea’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs recently announced that it had lifted its suspension on imports of Canadian beef, imposed in February 2015 following detection of a C-type (classical) BSE case in Alberta.

Canadian beef entering Korea must be derived from cattle less than 30 months of age and follow specified risk material (SRM) removal requirements, as was the case prior to the February suspension.
