Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Committee Comes to Colorado

Seventy-five members of the Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Beef Committee visited two Colorado packing plants last week. When the group visited the Colorado Farm Bureau headquarters, USMEF Executive Committee member Fritz Giesecke introduced USMEF Assistant Vice President, Industry Relations John Hinners who welcomed the group and shared facts about beef exports — especially variety meat — and the work USMEF does to promote them.

Hinners also spoke about the importance of funding from the USDA’s Market Access Program and the Soybean Checkoff.

Colorado Farm Bureau Executive Director Troy Bredenkamp said he welcomed future trade teams and was looking forward to increased participation with USMEF.
