Three students from the Soma Agricultural High School in Japan’s Fukushima Prefecture visited USMEF headquarters Monday as part of a two-week stay in the United States. The students will also have an opportunity to visit farming ranching operations in the Denver area to observe many aspects of U.S. agriculture.

“These students are from an area of Japan that is still dealing with the devastating effects of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami,” said USMEF President and CEO Philip Seng. “I am hopeful that their visit to the United States will give them a positive outlook on the future of agriculture and knowledge that they can use throughout their careers.”
