Indonesia Hikes Tariff Rate on Imported Sausages

USMEF has been informed of an increase in the tariff rate, from 5 percent to 30 percent, for sausages entering Indonesia. While the rate increase is limited to HS chapters 1601 and 1602, the volume of U.S. product impacted is significant. Last year the U.S. shipped about $524,000 worth of sausages and processed pork products to Indonesia. The pace of these exports has slowed in 2015, but still reached $102,406 during the first five months of the year.

USMEF will provide further updates on this situation as more information becomes available. Exporters with questions may email Travis Arp or call 303-623-6328.
