Last week the German news outlet Tagesschau leaked a 519-page document that it claims is a portion of the final text of the 1,500+ page Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between Canada and the European Union.
For those interested in reviewing the leaked document, it is available online through Tagesschau’s website. Language regarding red meat tariff rate quotas begins on page 31 of the linked document, while language regarding sanitary and phytosanitary measures begins on page 99.
CETA’s official final text is expected to be signed and released to the public sometime in September. USMEF will provide a more detailed analysis of the agreement once the final text is available.
