Ag Appropriations Bill Markup Postponed

The House Appropriations Committee postponed its markup on the FY 16 Agriculture Appropriations bill, which had been scheduled for June 25. At the earliest, the markup will now take place the week of July 6. Last week the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee approved a version of the bill that includes full funding of $200 million for the USDA Market Access Program (MAP) and $34.5 million for the Foreign Market Development (FMD) program, as authorized by the 2014 Farm Bill.

The Senate is also expected to begin work on its version of the Agriculture Appropriations Bill in July.
