- Establish and monitor policies, procedures and expectations that support the USMEF Code of Ethics and our Mission Statement

- Evaluate and continuously improve the compliance program
Compliance Reporting Requirement
All employees are responsible for reporting misconduct, including actual or potential violations of applicable laws, rules, regulations, contract provisions, policies, procedures and USMEF Standards of Business Conduct. An “Open-Door” policy will be maintained at all levels of management to encourage employees to report problems and concerns. If employees believe their concern or problem cannot be addressed with the Open Door policy, they should contact Reggie Staples, Director, Compliance, Janel Domurat, VP Administration or Phil Seng, President/CEO. If the employee wishes to remain anonymous, contact may be made through MySafeWorkplace.“I encourage you to utilize our internal communication protocols to address your questions or concerns. If you report a workplace issue or suspected violation of our Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct to your supervisor, manager or director and appropriate action is not taken, you are welcome to contact me directly or file a report anonymously with MySafeWorkplace. This process provides a means for everyone to express their concerns and raise issues with confidence knowing appropriate steps will be taken to resolve the issue.”

Compliance is very much a part of USMEF’s culture which is founded on dedication to our mission and fulfilling our commitment to our funding organizations, membership and employees. USMEF has a responsibility to comply with applicable laws and regulations and abide by the contractual requirements of each funding partner. Our partners’ investment in the market activities of USMEF creates a fiduciary responsibility to maximize their return on investment and ensure the funds are used according to the contractual requirements.USMEF, in the spirit of transparency and accountability, provides our funding sources with access to our accounting records, documents and other information for audit. USMEF views the audit process as a very important compliance exercise. These audits serve to validate the operating effectiveness of our accounting processes and control procedures. Additionally, this is an opportunity for USMEF to demonstrate compliance to our funding sources.
